FEP Telephone Self-Service "How to" for Members
Use this quick reference guide to help make performing inquiries more convenient.
When you call, please have your ID card handy.
- Begin by dialing the toll-free customer service number of (800) 624-5078. This number can also be found on the back of your ID card.
- Select 'member' when asked to identify yourself.
- Enter your 8-digit ID # without the letter "R."
What do you want to do?
Once you are in the Main Menu:
- To request a claim status, say "claims" or press 1. Then enter the 8-digit date of birth in a (mm/dd/yyyy) format and the 8-digit date of service in a (mm/dd/yyyy) format for the person you want to get information for.
- To verify enrollment, say "enrollment" or press 2. Then enter the 8-digit date of birth in a (mm/dd/yyyy) format.
- To get benefit information, say "benefits" or press 3. Then enter the 8-digit date of birth in a (mm/dd/yyyy) format
- To order a duplicate ID card, say "more" or press 4, then say "ID cards" or press 1. Then enter the 8-digit date of birth in a (mm/dd/yyyy) format.
- To request contact information, say "more" or press 4, then say "contact information" or press 4. Then enter the 8-digit date of birth in a (mm/dd/yyyy) format.
Helpful Hints:
- If you think that you have made a mistake in entering information, simply WAIT. The system will indicate where you are and what you need to do next. The system will allow 3 attempts to enter data. After the 3rd invalid attempt, the call will automatically transfer to an operator for assistance.
- You can return to the main menu at any time by just saying "main menu." You may also say "repeat," "operator" or "help" at anytime.
- The touch-tone equivalents for yes or no questions are 1= yes and 2= no.
- All dates inputs should include the month, day and 4-digit year.
- Make sure that you speak in a clear voice when responding to the system prompting.
